Hi. My name is Theresa Schultz, and I am a writer of Middle Grade fiction. Whether you like to solve mysteries in the Old West, or you want to play championship baseball while still having fun, or you've just moved to a new town and you can't seem to make friends, I hope you will enjoy reading my books.
I grew up in South Pasadena, California, a city with a wonderful small town feel, even though it's only six miles from downtown Los Angeles. Home to one of America's first ostrich farms and several historic sites, South Pas always hosts a parade on the 4th of July. When I was in high school, our band marched in the parade every year.
I attended Pepperdine University at their gorgeous campus in Malibu, which explains my love of all things beach-related. After college, I moved to Irvine, CA, where I met my husband. We have three amazing children, all grown now.
I caught the writing bug when I saw how much joy and excitement books brought to my children's lives. I was reminded how much books meant to me growing up. I loved being transported to different times and places, and I used to imagine myself as a silent companion to the children in the stories, there to watch and learn with them, go on adventures with them, laugh with them, cry with them. Feel all the feelings.
If you're reading this now, then you and I have something very important in common -- a love of books.
